Preliminary Design & Layout of Masjid

Alhamdulilah, IAM Masjid has acquired two parcels along with two constructed homes on the eastern side of the existing land.
With the addition of around 1.2 acres now, we can move the Masjid prayer hall 100+ ft towards the northeast (qibla side) and we can also plan our future expansions i.e Phase-2 construction which includes an additional prayer hall, multi-purpose hall,  classrooms, etc. The good thing is that now we will have around 300 parking spaces.
 
Phase 1 Project Status:
 
Total estimated cost for the phase-1 construction:  $3.4 million
(Additional 4197 sqft building added, total sqft of the building for phase-1: 19,197)
 
Total amount raised including the pledges: $1.7 million
 
Total estimated amount needed for construction: $1.7 Million is required ($850K by Feb 2025 & $850K by Dec 2025)
 

Note: Parking lot and landscaping costs are not included in the above-estimated cost

 

Details of additional land purchased:
 
We purchased both parcels for the total amount of $935,000
 
Amount paid: $721,000:  The remaining amount of $214,000 shall be paid in 16 months in two installments of $107k each every 8 months.
 
Total amount needed for phase-1 and additional land purchased: $1.7 Million  + $214K = $1.914 million

Parcel 1 purchase accomplished on 03/18/21: Alhamdulillah, the board members and their families & friend’s financial contributions and efforts have enabled us to complete this purchase.

Allah (SWT) says in the Holy Quran: The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-knower (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:261).

Narrated Asma’ bint Abu Bakr: That she had gone to the Prophet (PBUH) and he said, “Do not shut your money bag; otherwise Allah too will with-hold His blessings from you. Spend (in Allah’s Cause) as much as you can afford.”
